By sixth grade, Alexander has been alienated and outcast from his classmates. While he and his closest friend Maggie try to understand the pressures of the world they're growing into, the other children victimize and betray one another in a struggle for popularity. But when Alex's last boyhood friend buckles under the pressure and brings a gun to school, the world will never be the same again...
